How to Host a Webinar

When:  August 19th, 2010
Where: COSI

Parking: Bring ticket inside for validation
Topic: Webinar demonstration
Presenter: Megan Miller, Ohio State University

If you’ve never participated in a webinar, join us for your first experience!  If you have attended a webinar before but never led a webinar, now’s your chance to learn!  Our webinar presenter will facilitate from the Ohio State University while the rest of us gather at COSI.  Megan will explain how to utilize webinars, advantages/disadvantages, trouble-shooting problems, and the benefits of webinars for Volunteer Administrators and then answer any questions.  Time permitting, she will show us social networking sites (such as LinkedIn and Facebook) and elaborate on how your organization can benefit from connecting with these sites.

Speaker Bio:  Megan joined the Arts and Sciences Career Services staff at OSU in August of 2009 as Data & Technology Coordinator. Her role is primarily to manage the FutureLink career services management system, including data collection and report preparation for the office and Arts and Sciences clusters regarding user participation in FutureLink. She also provides career advising support through developing training documentation, collecting electronic career resources, and performing resume reviews. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University in 2005, Megan taught business education courses at the high school level in two Columbus-area school districts. Between her teaching stints, she strengthened her core business knowledge and refined her analysis skills as a business analyst, working for a third-party administrator of insurance benefits.
